Day to day tasks entail supporting, maintaining and enhancing technical controls to: prevent, detect, or respond to cybersecurity threats; comply with regulatory standards; or align to industry best practice.
    o Administer one or more of the following technologies: Web Proxy, Mail Security Gateway, L7 Firewall, Web Application Firewall, Client and S2S VPN, Intrusion Detection/Prevention System, Data Loss Prevention, Denial of Service Protection, Public DNS.

Network Security Engineer

**JOB PURPOSE**
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Monitor security logs and alerts.
o Assist Senior Network Security Engineers and Incident Responders with security investigations, evidence collection, and data analysis.
o Prepare technical and executive security reports and metrics.
o Partner with other technology departments to provide secure and reliable services.
o Responsible for adhering to company policies, standards, and guidelines.
o Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
o Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
o Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this

job description.


o May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES none**


**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**


o High school diploma/GED required.


o Associate, vocational or technical degree in information security preferred.


o Certifications preferred: GSEC, GCIH, CHFI, CCNA, CIAM, Security+, CSAo Requires 3-5 years of information technology experience with a focus on security.


o Experience with network security systems such as web proxies, email security gateways, firewalls, IDS/IPS required.


o Experience with Client and Server architecture to include Operating Systems, security applications, Active Directory, and deployment methods such as physical and virtual infrastructure, required.


o Knowledge of defense in depth, security best practice, security controls, networking concepts, emerging technologies, attack methods, and mitigation techniques, required.


o Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio required.


o Ability to prioritize tasks and work though issues and obstacles with guidance and coaching.


o Ability to work as part of a team.


o Proficient personal communication and collaboration skills.


PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS


o Office environment - no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.


o Occasional travel.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:


Work involves sitting, occasional walking and lifting up to 10 pounds. Requires close visual acuity. Normal office environment. Occasional travel.
